Did you know that ShuvDay was created, trademarked, and Branded by 16 year old Caeden Patterson? Since he was a young pitcher CP would get in the car after a day on the mound and say, “I shoved today mom!” as he grew older, he would call days he would be pitching “ShuvDay”.
Like most kids, I started playing t-ball when I was 5 years old. I was one of the better kids in my town’s little league and it didn’t take long before I was in love with the game. Coming from a small community and seeking to play competitive ball we found a local travel team that I joined at the age of 7. I formed a brotherhood with my teammates and we were a top travel team in Kentucky from 9U and up. During my 7th grade year I had the opportunity to pitch some varsity games for Danville High School and as a team we won a regional championship and earned a trip to the state semi-finals. That year, my school finished top 10 in the state and top 100 in the country. For my 14u summer I played for Five Star National and we finished as the number 16 team in the country and made it to the semi-finals of the WWBA. During that tournament I earned 2 wins and made the All Tournament team. I transferred to Taylor County High School for my 8th grade year, and earned a role on the pitching staff. I finished the season with 27 IP, had a 3-1 starting record, went 2-2 on save opportunities, had 36K, 15BB, and 25H. For my Varsity efforts as an 8th grader I was selected for first team All District.. After meeting Evin Einhardt in 2022, I was given the opportunity to represent WOW Factor National 2027 team during the summer of 2023. Perfect Game has me ranked currently as the #18 pitcher in the country and #1 in Kentucky. I plan to continue to work hard and show my state and country the true meaning of ShuvDay during each outing I get on the mound.
First and foremost I want to thank God, Jesus Christ, for blessing me with the talent to throw a ball. There have also been so many people that have been willing to help me over the years. My Mom and Dad have been very supportive and willing to work their schedules around my baseball tournaments. My dad put in numerous hours at the Mustang baseball academy listening and learning from Coach Morse, Coach Loughery (Lock), and Coach Duran. Dad’s dedication along with dedicated coaches gave me a shot to make it to where I wanted to go and chase a dream very few achieve. I’ve known coach Paul Morse for a long time and have learned a lot from him, Coach Lock, and the rest of that Danville coaching staff. Coach Juan Palacios really accelerated me during my 13u year. His trust in my abilities allowed me to gain exposure on a National stage. I am absolutely grateful for that. Coach Grubbs and Coach Wilson gave me a big platform to perform on with 5 Star National and I learned a lot from their coaching and that team. Coach Gupton is my high school coach at Taylor County and he has really pushed me, brought out the best in me, and gave me a fair shot when I transferred here in October 2022. Coach Duran has been with me since I was 10 years old. During lessons he has always pushed me to take ownership of my training and dreams. In games he has coached me, he has allowed me to explore my identity as a pitcher which gave me the confidence to perform at my best. He has pushed me and taught me a lot. I am thankful to have the next four years with him on the Taylor County baseball team. Finally, Coach Einhardt gave me a huge opportunity when he reached out and offered me a spot on the WOW Factor 2027 National team. This program is one of, if not THE hottest baseball organizations in the country. I would not be where I am today without the support, encouragement, and dedication each of these people have shown me. Thank you will never be enough!
In all things I strive to thank God, be humble, work hard, show respect, and take what is earned. I never want to be out worked and despise losing more than I love winning.
ShuvDay!!!
